About Us
The Chicago Art Critics Association, or C.A.C.A., was formed on Valentine's Day, 1998. We contribute to the Chicago art scene through panel discussions, gallery talks, and occasional publications. As a professional association we afford our members fellowship, mutual advice, and discussions about our field of endeavor.
    Occasionally someone asks about our group's name. Our two co-founders chose our group's name well aware of the resulting acronym and with a self-deprecating chuckle.
